Pastoral Ponderings
There is so much joy wrapped up in a celebration of Easter and baptisms are a
reminder of why we exist. I pray you were richly blessed. With the coming of May, I believe we will have an
abundance of flowers and a tremendous opportunity to join with neighbors and friends to make a difference in our
community. In the days ahead we will be hosting or participating in several events that are a part of the work of
transformation that is occurring as we connect with others. On May 5th, the National Day of Prayer, the safety
committee of Promise Neighborhood is hosting a meet & greet with our May and our Police Chief so we can begin
to build a better relationship with law enforcement and be proactive in making our neighborhood safe. We are also
birthing a neighborhood association that has yet to be named. If you want to get a pulse for what is happen in the
hood, stop by at 11:00 am ton Tuesdays.
Our theme for the month of May is “Living a Resurrected Life” and I invite you to
pen your heart to ways Jesus wants to empower His children to join Him in the work of reconciliation and
transformation. God is at work and invites us to join Him on the journey. Things are getting exciting. Be
prayerful, be ready.
Much Love,
Pastor David Cotto
